The Unitree A1 is a quadruped robot developed by Unitree Robotics in China, designed for mobility research, inspection, and education. Released in 2020, it features 12 high-performance actuators, onboard vision sensors, and real-time control algorithms that enable walking, running, and backflips. Weighing about 12 kg (26 lbs) and capable of speeds up to 3.3 m/s (7.4 mph), the A1 balances performance with affordability.
