The Surprising Rise of Linkerbot, China’s Anime-Inspired Robot Hand Maker
Across five factories in China, a startup that’s only a few years old is manufacturing around 5,000 dexterous robotic hands per month.
Linkerbot (Beijing-based Linkerbot Technology) develops high-dexterity robotic hands and embodied intelligence systems. Their Linker Hand series supports up to 42 degrees of freedom, surpassing many existing designs, and integrates sensors like cameras and tactile “skin” for delicate manipulation. The company also offers teleoperation systems, motion-capture tools, and digital twin platforms to support fine tasks in robotics. Recent reports suggest Linkerbot holds a dominant share in the high-freedom dexterous hand market and has secured funding from investors such as Ant Group and CICC.
