The World’s Fastest Ladder Climbing Robot
Researchers from ETH Zurich say they got the ANYmal quadrupedal robot to climb ladders 232 times faster than previous robotic attempts.
ANYmal is a quadruped robot developed by ANYbotics, a spin-off from ETH Zurich. Designed for autonomous inspection and maintenance in industrial environments, it can navigate rough terrain, climb stairs, and carry sensors for visual, thermal, and acoustic data collection. ANYmal is used in sectors such as energy, mining, and utilities.
