RobotEra’s Humanoid Robots Take Over China’s Logistics Sector

China’s RobotEra is deploying its humanoid robots directly into logistics hubs for some of the world’s largest delivery companies.

The Beijing-based startup, launched in 2023, is reporting major inroads into the Chinese logistics sector after securing more than $200 million in funding in a round led by SF Express. The robotics firm has raised at least $400 million to date and is valued around $1.5 billion.

According to RobotEra, its flagship L7 humanoids are already operating in more than 10 logistics centers across the mainland through partnerships with major delivery operators like SF Express and China Post. They’re doing the same jobs normally done by human workers on conveyor lines. They pick packages off moving belts, identify them using their cameras, and use their onboard AI to sort and place each parcel into the correct destination lane.

RobotEra reports that the autonomous machines have already reached around 85 percent human-level efficiency in some facilities while running continuously. The company plans to scale to thousands of units throughout 2026.

Meanwhile in the US, Figure AI is reportedly close to closing a deal for tens of thousands of humanoids to work at UPS logistics hubs. The Silicon Valley startup’s founder, Brett Adcock, has hinted at a potential deal with a major logistics company that would necessitate 100,000 units by 2029.
